Safety first
Providing a secure environment
At Global Explorers, we put children first and take their safety very seriously. Limiting children’s exposure to hazards and reducing children’s risk of harm is our very first duty of care. Children are particularly vulnerable to accidents, and active supervision is paramount.
All rooms operate within the educator to child ratios at all times and risk assessments are conducted regularly to assess potential hazards of any kind. However, we also encourage children to take risks in the safe environment we provide in order to develop independence and self-confidence.
Safety is our very first priority
We strive to offer a safe environment across the centre and implement the 10 Child Safe Standards. Various equipment is checked regularly to make sure it is compliant and in good condition. Our extensive list of policies and procedures guarantee children’s safety indoor and outdoor.
All our educators hold a certificate for child protection and we keep a record of visitors.
Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and it is important to educate children as well. Our Staying Healthy program helps children develop safe habits around strangers, roads, fire etc. Our swimming program offers a fantastic opportunity to teach water safety.
Consistent routines and positive relationships with children enable children and families to feel safe. We respond warmly to each child’s needs and all parents’ concerns. At Global Explorers we understand that trustworthy relationships are more likely to give children the confidence to explore their World and we pride ourselves in partnering with parents
